The Floating Art Project This year's 2nd Annual Open House, in conjunction with the Pawtucket Arts Festival, will celebrate the community growing at the Hope Artiste Village. Over the next few weeks we are inviting eleven live work tenants and a handful of new retail and studio businesses to the village. Festivites are from 5PM-Midnight. We will showcase resident artists and local and regional guest artists in a gallery-style show. Zox will be headlining our music stage. Other bands include Heather Rose & The Drama and Heavy Weather. Hope Artiste Village Heralds Completion of Live/Work Studios Jennifer Toone, In Toone Communication. PAWTUCKET, Rhode Island (August , 24 2007) As the first residential tenants of the live/work studios take occupancy in September, Hope Artiste Village celebrates with its second annual autumn open house. The village opens its doors Friday, September 14 at 6pm with live music, local artwork displayed throughout the complex, and food and drink catered by The Blackstone, Narragansett Beer, and Newport Storm. The event celebrates the continuing development and success of Hope Artiste Village and its tenants. This month the community welcomes eleven new tenants and the roster now includes Ahlers Designs, Warlick Furniture Design, Internal Arts, Warehouse on Earth, Jen McWalters Pilates Studio, The Hive Gallery, Rhode One Technology, and Michael Green Sculpture. As construction continues, the public is invited to view the retail development hosting local resident and artists. Zox headlines the Music Stage, also featuring Heather Rose & The Drama, and Heavy Weather. The Blackstone, the complex's first restaurant/ nightclub will also be hosting music. The Hope Artiste Village community is an eclectic mix of artists and entrepreneurs living and working together in one of the largest mill restoration projects in Rhode Island. The community includes live/work lofts, artist studios, retail stores, executive office suites, venues for music and theatre, restaurants, fitness facilities, and residences.
